Các ống cong, khuỷu ống dễ bị hư hại từ các tác động như ăn mòn do dòng chảy tăng tốc (FAC) nhưng việc kiểm tra chúng là một thách thức vì hình dạng của các ống elbow thay đổi từ lồi sang lõm cũng như có nhiều đường kính ống khác nhau. Khi kết hợp với nêm nước, giải pháp này có thể được sử dụng để thu thập dữ liệu trên các đoạn ống khuỷu tay và ống cong với đường kính từ 4,5 in. OD trở lên với nhiều ưu điểm:

Dữ liệu có độ phân giải cao
Bộ quét được thiết kế đế sử dụng với OmniScan® MX2 hay SX để phát hiện và đo lường các hư hại hoặc bất thường như đo chiều dày ống còn lại, ăn mòn pitting hay tách lớp trong thành ống. Dữ liệu độ phân giải cao kết hợp với các chế độ hiển thị khác nhau trên thiết bị hoặc trên máy tính (cần OmniPC™ ) cung cấp hình ảnh rõ ràng về tình trạng của các ống elbow giúp việc giải đoán dễ dàng và chính xác hơn.
- Các trục quét và lưu dữ liệu được mã hóa theo vị trí và có thể thay đổi sử dụng một nút bấm trên bộ quét để thay đổi vị trí dữ liệu một cách dễ dàng.
- Bánh xe từ giữ bộ quét chắc chắn bám vào bề mặt ống, trong khi gioăng bằng xốp tiếp xúc theo bề mặt cong và giữ cột nước bên trong.
- Việc sử dụng cột nước làm chất tiếp âm giúp bề mặt có thể dễ dàng phù hợp với cả mặt lồi và lõm trên ống cong, thiết bị và phần mềm trên OmniScan đồng bộ dữ liệu bề mặt với chiều dày đo được.
- Các nêm khác nhau được thiết kế để phù hợp với các đường kính ống khác nhau. Gắn đầu dò và nêm phù hợp lên bộ quét là bạn đã sẵn sàng cho công việc.
Quét dọc ống
Cấu hình quét ống này rất hữu dụng khi kiểm tra các ống nhỏ hay khi vùng cần quét tập trung vào một vùng của ống (dưới đáy và mặt trên). Bộ quét ống elbow FlexoFORM khi sử dụng để quét dọc ống sẽ giúp tăng tốc độ kiểm tra lên hàng chục lần.
Quét ống elbow nhỏ
Các nêm bán tự động được thiết kế phù hợp với ống nhỏ từ 101 mm (4.5 in) trở lên. Ở chế độ quét thủ công, có thể kiểm tra vùng bên ngoài (mặt cong ngoài) của các ống elbow có đường kính từ 1.3 in. OD tới 4 in. OD hoặc quét dọc ống để thu được hình ảnh mã hóa C-scans. Các nêm SFA1-SMALL cho ống nhỏ cần kết hợp với Mini-Wheel™ encoder.
Quét tự động
Trong vài ứng dụng cần quét dọc ống thay vì quét vòng quanh ống, nêm SFA1-AUTO phù hợp bộ quét tự động cho các ống từ 220mm (8.625 in.) OD trở lên.

The wedge is used to generate 0° Longitudinal Waves and features a curvature matching 4 inches (101.6 mm) Outside Diameter (OD) for inspection of elbow extrados. The wedge also features an 11 mm high water column allowing inspection of up to 35 mm thick carbon steel materials. Compatible with the Mini-Wheel encoder. Not compatible with FlexoFORM scanner. |
